About Randi Himelfarb
I share a vagrant optimism that some of us are making real progress, that when we take an honest road the best of us will inevitably make it over the top. At the same time, I share a dark suspicion that the life we lead is a lost cause, that we all are kidding ourselves in a senseless odyssey. It is the tension between these two poles – a restless idealism on one hand and a sense of impending doom on the other that probably keeps me going.
